Octo-mom, Nadya Suleman Speaks With Dr. Phil
The Dr. Phil Show aired two interviews that were taped last week with octo-mom, Nadya Suleman, on this week’s Wednesday and Thursday shows. The interviews were taped in a rented mansion to which Dr. Phil had to defend that he was “not” buying a house for the family.
Suleman says that the man that came forward last week claiming that he was the father of all 14 of her children is not the father. She has also said this to her publicist and in a recent interview on ‘The Insider’ show with Lara Spencer.When Dr. Phil asked her why she thinks people are so intense about her story, Nadya answered by saying that the economy is so bad right now, she looks like she will be a burden on society.
Nadya explains that all of her pregnancies turned out perfectly. This aroused the next set of questions in which she was asked if she was addicted to pregnancy and had all these children to fill a void in her life. Nadya responded by saying that if she had all these babies on purpose, she would be insane. She goes on to say that all she had really expected was to have one child or at most, twins. She also admits to Dr. Phil that she might have made a mistake.
Dr. Phil then talked about employment with Nadya. He told her that even if she had went and got the degree that she wants to get; she would only be able to raise 20-30% of the money it would take to raise all of her children. Her response was that she might be able to get a job for around 70,000 dollars a year.
In recent reports, the octuplets are almost ready to be released from the hospital. The hospital might not release the babies if they have no safe and secure place to go. Nadya says that she will fix up the house, and make it safe for the kids.
Dr. Phil then sums up Nadya Suleman’s mentality by saying that there is a lack of maturity, cannot see the consequence of actions, cannot brace reality, lack of focus, and that the children may be filling a void in her life.
Other news in this story is that there may be entertainment deals for Nadya in the works. Also, Nadya has not yet taken an offer from an agency that wanted to give her free help with the octuplets when and if they arrive home.
