Prince Harry Apologizes For Racial Slurs
Prince Harry who is twenty –four, apologized for statements he made to fellow platoon members three years ago. Harry called one of the members a “Paki,” and another member a “raghead.” The whole incident was video taped and recently surfaced in the news.
On Saturday, a statement from Prince Harry’s office was released. The statement says that Harry understands how offensive these terms can be, and were used without malice as a nickname for his fellow platoon member. The Statement also says that Prince Harry used the term ‘raghead’ to mean Taliban or Iraqi insurgent.
No complaint was made to the army about the incident, but the matter will be investigated as the army does not tolerate inappropriate behaviour. It is reported that the Muslim Council of Britain has accepted Prince Harry’s apology.
