The Latest Developments in the Casey Anthony Case: Jan 8/2009
* Henry Lee, who is a forensic scientist and defense expert, has confirmed that the second autopsy of Caylee Anthony’s remains was completed five or six days ago.
It is also reported that there is still no funeral date set yet due to the defense team awaiting test results from the second autopsy.
* It is reported that Dominic Casey, who is the Anthony’s private investigator, phoned Jim Hoover, a private investigator that was helping the Anthonys, on November fourteenth. Dominic Casey met with Hoover on the fifteenth of November, and told Hoover that Caylee was dead and he knew where she was. The pair then went to the same site where Caylee’s remains were recently discovered, but found nothing. It is reported that they spent two days searching the area.
* Jim Hoover has now talked with investigators and told them that Dominic Casey knew where, and exactly what they would be looking for.
Hoover has also since turned over a video tape to investigators. It is now under speculation as to where Dominic Casey obtained his information.
* Money changing hands at Caylee’s Expense - ABC News allegedly paid 200,000 dollars to license a video, NBC News allegedly paid 5000 dollars to license photos, and Baez (Casey Anthony’s attorney) is alleged of trying to sell an interview with Casey Anthony for 500,000 dollars. It is also reported that Anthony spokesman, Larry Garrison, received a 6500 dollar photo licensing fee from NBC.
Court will soon be held this morning regarding the release of Caylee’s autopsy photos to the defense. There was one hearing completed this morning. The judge has ruled that Casey Anthony will not be deposed on Monday regarding the defamation lawsuit against her.
