James Blanning Found Dead After Aspen Bomb Threats
In Aspen Colorado this last Wednesday, Police say James Chester Blanning left holiday packaged bombs at two separate banks. It is reported that Blanning was upset about Aspen becoming a high end resort for the rich. He had placed the bombs in the banks including one in an alley. The bombs were made of gasoline and cell phone parts.
Blanning left a note saying he wanted sixty thousand in cash, along with a will. Police evacuated the area as Blanning had left a notes also stated that there would be “mass death”. Police later detonated the bombs and no one was injured.
Police also say that he must have abandon his plans as the notes indicated he was going to originally bomb four banks and a high end pub, but no other bombs were found. Blanning was later found deceased in his vehicle with guns beside him. It is believed he committed suicide using one of the guns.
