Casey Anthony appeared in court this morning all dressed up, after the Judge denied her attorney’s (Jose Baez) motion yesterday that would have allowed Casey to waive her appearances.

Baez said in court this morning, that his defence team wants access to the wooded area where Caylee Anthony’s remains were found. He said that he wants to know what areas were searched and what was found, stating that there are too many inconsistencies in the evidence already found. Baez is also trying to get reports from the volunteer search group, Texas Equusearch, who conducted searches in the area.

The judge ruled that the defence would be able to have access to the searched areas. The judge also denied the defence team’s earlier motion to have the prosecutors kicked off the case.  Details on this can be found here. The Judge also ruled that he cannot make a ruling to give the defence access to Equusearch’s documents, as it is out of his jurisdiction.

In other developments, the defence would like to find out who the biological father of Caylee is. It is speculated that the defence may be trying to divert the blame to whoever the father might be.

No trial date was set today, but it is now believed that the trial will be towards the end of the year.
